Meet the Doctor
Dr. David Konigsberg, a Dartmouth College graduate, received his MD from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He continued his training at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and during his residency was inducted into the AOA Medical Honors Society. Inspired during his pediatric orthopaedic rotation at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, he decided to further his education by taking a fellowship in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas, Texas. During his fellowship he completed clinical research on Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip which was presented at symposiums in Montpellier, France as well as Dallas, Texas. His work has been published in Spine as well as the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics.
Dr. Konigsberg practiced Pediatric Orthopaedics in Ridgewood, New Jersey for 10 years and decided to open his own practice in January 2011. He is on staff at two area hospitals,The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ and Hackensack University Medical center in Hackensack, NJ. Dr. Konigsberg is board certified in orthopaedic surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is the past president of the Bergen County Medical Society and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Medical Society of New Jersey. He has been named a “Top Doctor” in New Jersey Monthly magazine the past four years and received the Distinguished Health Care Service Award for Bergen County in 2011.
Dr. Konigsberg balances his career in medicine with several outside interests including coaching his two sons, golf, hiking and participating in area triathlons. He and his wife Theresa, a pediatrician, reside with their twin boys in New Jersey.
